As part of Division 15 Plumbing's commitment to support and give back to the community we live, work and play in, we decided to do something a little different this Christmas. Traditionally, we send out greeting cards and gift baskets to our suppliers, customers and colleagues. Not this year. Instead, we called the Simcoe County District School Board and asked which of their schools could use a hand with their learning supplies. We know that the schools in our area have experienced significant budget cuts and struggle just to maintain adequate resources to ensure students are being afforded the best education possible. It was decided that Cundles Heights Public School in Barrie, ON had a great need for technology to help in the classroom. Many of the kids that attend this school do not have personal access to computers or tablets. There are great apps that are used as learning tools in the classrooms, and we were surprised to hear that teachers often bring their own Ipad's to class to help the kids get acquainted with technology. So, on January 16, 2014 we delivered a brand new Ipad 2 with protective case to the Principal at Cundles Heights P.S, Mike Pattison. We were thrilled to be able to help and the Principal, staff and students were excited to receive the gift. It feels really good knowing that the Ipad will be well used and will help many children with their learning for years to come!
